Growing up I never knew what a meal plan was. It was more of a shopping list; and that's about it. Thankfully a list is better than nothing though. How?
Have you ever gone into the grocery store without a list when you have to get groceries for a week or two? Add to that going there hungry? Oh man, my shopping cart would be full of chips, frozen pizzas and corn dogs. #sorrynotsorry
Then immediately upon getting home you would realize you forgot the three most important things you went there for. Am I right?!
When I am 100% on track with my eating, I eat the same 4-5 meals a day for the week. Granted, I might use different spices or sauces; and change up my breakfast. But typically it's all the same. It help me to stay on track. When that happens, I will use the meal planning and shopping list spreadsheet below that is for 5-6 meals per day by meal. However, when I'm a little more lax, as I have been throughout the end of my pregnancy, I will use the 3 meal plan and shopping list that is for 3 meals by day.
