It seems when every weekend rolls around, we want to find the best biscuits and gravy in town. We've been to so many places that claim to have the best biscuits and gravy, and so far our top two are Kuby's and Bubba's. But, they still aren't the perfect biscuits and gravy. D and I have really high standards when it comes to this famous breakfast classic.
So, I decided we would try our hands at completely homemade biscuits and gravy. All I have is one word.
Both recipes are extremely easy. Almost so ridiculously easy you wouldn't expect either to be so darn good!
For the biscuits, you have the option of mixing everything in a food processor, or you can do what I did and mix with your hands and a spatula.
The gravy is equally as easy as the biscuits.
Crumble and brown 1 lb of breakfast sausage over medium-high heat until fully cooked.
I kid you not, this was the best biscuits and gravy I have ever eaten. The only thing we might do differently is add a little less flour than 1/3 cup.
