🎶 🎶 🎶...I'm ready to go. I'm standing here, outside your door. I hate to wake you up....to say...goodbye!...... 🎶 🎶 🎶
🎶 🎶 🎶 And I'm leavin', on a jet plane! 🎶 🎶 🎶
How many of you sang that? And, how many of you pictured the scene from Armageddon where Ben Affleck is about to get on the space ship and he sings that to Liv Tyler? No? Well, I did! I absolutely love that movie!
If you were to search my Google history right now, you would see a lot of - what to pack for the hospital to give birth - what to put in a diaper bag - what does the dad need to put in his hospital bag - and much more of the like!
Then, I Googled when you should pack your hospital bag, and one site said you should have it ready to go by week 35...... Ummmmmmm....I am 34 weeks and 3 days right now as I type this. WHAAAAAAAATTTTTTT???????????
However, if you know me, you know I LOVE to plan. So, I got out one of my nice new notebooks laying around my apartment and started jotting down some of what I thought I would need in my hospital bag.
Kara's Hospital Bag
Now, on the other end of the spectrum, I read that a lot of what I listed above is considered clutter. However, I have a nice duffel bag that I can pack all of this in. If I use it, I use it; if I don't, it stays in the bag. No harm either way. I would rather be too prepared then get to the hospital. You see, we have no family in town, so only my husband will be there at the hospital with me. I'd much rather have him there to enjoy the experience with me than running around getting stuff I thought I wouldn't need.
From all you seasoned birth givers, what was your one thing you regretted not packing?
Side Note: I will update this list after I give birth to give you a new perspective. :)
Hi there! I'm Kara, of taking KARA myself! I've dabbled in blogging off and on for a while now. Mostly off. But I'm trying to change that and make a dent in this side of the world wide web. Enjoy!
